Title: Untitled (Inner Reflection)

Sylvia Plath’s reminder that “the worst enemy to creativity is self doubt” and D.W. Winnicott’s belief that “it is a joy to be hidden and a disaster not to be found”, both speak to the push and pull of wanting to hide, yet wanting to be seen. I hope to channel my emotions into new work going forward and show it regardless.

“The past year has stretched and challenged in multiple ways, through revisiting forgotten and discounted medium to pushing my boundaries in terms of the size of a drawing or painting. It has not only given me the confidence to experiment with these mediums, but also the push to start thinking critically about both my art and others.”
