Title Heart’s sunset
Imagination, memory, time, and sunsets are intimately related and merged.
Dali’s “the persistence of memory” painted when he was 28, conveys an overall sense of foreboding, The strong use of shade almost like shadows, the feeling of change of light, the sense of space, distance and perspective, the use of memory and imagination and its possibilities, all within the time factor kept me curious. Drawing plein air in different woods and natural spaces with different media, I became engrossed in shapes and colours that were in front of me, culminating in three paintings, ‘Heart’s sunset’ (above), ‘Mind sunset’ (below top left), and ‘Cosmic night of reality’ (below top right).
I would like to learn more on the human figure, grisaille oil technique, graphic design non-computerised and illustration.
“ I enjoyed the variety of artistic enterprises we had to tackle, the increasing emphasis on exploration and use of the imagination and narrative.”
