Title: Krystal Sun
Everything we see is a reflection of light, and thus, a reflection of energy. Solid crystals hold a unique arrangement of geometric configurations and properties which impact spectrums of energy, frequency, and vibration, through the crystal’s propagation of light. Stone circles propose consciousness and spiritual interactions through people’s direct experiences. Krystal Sun expresses a personal resonance with crystals and Craig Moraig Stone Circle in Scotland.
Influenced by symbolism, colour, psychology, meditation, light, and translucency, the painting is an ‘organic geometry’ that combines geometry with abstraction to inspire the observer into their own journey of conscious evolution and wellbeing. Through use of colour the painting represents the quality of light and energy exchange experienced with crystals and stone circles.
“I feel this year at OFCAD helped me expand my creative abilities and most importantly, to gain confidence in myself as an artist. Specifically, the work in Module 8 guided me to ‘own’ concepts related to my art practice that I knew intellectually but hadn´t embodied, as I now do. I feel in a more grounded place to continue with my art practice and education.”
