Title: Absorbed – to take in Transform

The Cotswold countryside has a haunting depth in which nature continues and gives back to soothe the mind. Inspired by Sulamith Wulfing’s illustratations from imagination that show deep emotion using delicate lines that have an ethereal quality - the painting is of a comforting countryside that  translates deep emotions to the observer. Much thought, heartache and internal investigation is invested in this piece.

The work shows the many layers and complexities of the landscape using tranquil colours of the oolite geology of the stone beneath the surface reminiscent of a person’s inner thoughts versus their surrounding environment.
