Title Origin
On the outside, the surface records the effect of action and time and is transformed. Innate qualities become evident and occupy space, coming into existence. The invisible becomes visible and part of the whole.

John Virtue immerses himself in his environment through his process. I have brought a connection to nature in my work through subject matter, tools and material.
I worked through observation and use of the viewfinder and developed the work using printing techniques. In addition to developing the work from the project with a focus on abstraction, drawing and print, I would like to develop my figurative drawing, portraiture and oil painting skills.
